There are two types of family. They’re rich family and poor family. Rich family can easily invest money for their children to study abroard. But for poor family, they have to loan money. Student loans seem to be the only feasible way out to pursue higher studies for the average student in UK. Things become all the more difficult for those without university funding. The government, in its efforts to make further education affordable, had undertaken quite a few steps to buffer educational finance. A significant step towards this end was the formalising of the Student Loans scheme.

The Student Loans scheme was meant to help students with their costs of living during their period of study. With the credit market in UK specialising and booming with respect to the various economic spheres, student loans from private players are gradually becoming easier to get. Numerous lending agencies are eager to offer you a student loan after taking care of every odd problem a borrower may have.

The student loan or support schemes available in UK for various types of education & training within Britain are numerous. The specifications for student loans differ on the basis of the type of the course for which funding is needed, that is, full, part-time, or distance courses at UK universities and also the nationality, region, merit, and financial capacity of the student.

The student loan specifications and categorisation also change according to the study level

Students planning to go to further education

Currently in further education

Left further education

Gap Year

Students with children

Disabled students

Postgraduate and mature students

NHS funded students

Students in Scotland, N. Ireland & EU students.

You can get a student loan even if you are aged between 50 to 54 years. However, in this case you will have to confirm that you plan to work after the completion of your course. Usually the student loans are designed to take care of the costs of living, which includes costs made on accommodation, food, clothes, and travel. Just 25% of the loan is evaluated on the basis of your income.

For detailed information about the amount of the student loan and the legal procedure, get in touch with the local student loan award authority. This authority will manage the initial part of your student loan application. You will be tested with respect to your means and eligibility to justify your qualification for the student loan. You can also submit your application online with a reliable lending firm.

Against the loan, you are to pay a monthly interest that is based on the rate of inflation calculated daily from the start date of your student loan. You start repaying after finishing the course and after you reach the income level of over £10,000 a year.

However easy the procedure of getting a loan is, remember that you have to repay them. It is better to plan for the repayments while you are applying for the student loans. This increases your credit rating as well as relieves you of severe financial tension in future.

Parents think that their child will have a good future for investing money to their child to study abroard. Especially in Spain, China, or English in America as there are native speakers everywhere for them to practice and converse with. Native speakers of the language would most likely be the number one language teachers, and most people will agree that they are most reliable. However, more and more countries provide different language training course programs which are as efficient as the host countries as the language institutions deem. Language institutions in these countries provide quality education and training of the language, just like how the native speakers would educate and train others. They offer different courses and programs according to the student’s preference. At that, Spain has a number of English language training centres which offer different language courses.

Spanish language institutions offer different language courses and programs which cater to kids, adults and professionals. While these language centres claim that they have differences in their programs, they most likely have these courses in common: English language proficiency for kids, adults and business professionals; Conversational English language; Business English; General and Basic English; and Intensive English. Other centres even have online and over-the-phone English language training sessions which cater to those who are working and cannot pay time to visit the school or stay in a classroom setting for a few hours of training.

Among these language institutions are Alida Language Centre in Madrid, wherein you have the option to call them for an appointment/session and do one-on-one or small group language trainings. They offer General English, Specialized English for Business, Conversational English classes, and English for non-native speakers.

Docklands Idiomas Language School in Barcelona, Spain has been teaching different languages such as German, English, French and Spanish for more than a decade now and is continuing to serve students who aspire to learn other languages and improve on their proficiency. It promises an enjoyable experience while acquiring a second or third language. They say that one need not to experience difficulties in learning a different language. This is why they also cater to children and offer fun and exciting course programs for them, perfectly engineered for kids who want to learn while having fun. Aside from children’s program, they also offer Adult Program, First Certificate in English, Business English Certificate, Certificate of Proficiency in English, Certificate in Advanced English and many others.

Aircrewz Aviation English School, as the name of the institution implies, is an online school for pilots, controllers and cabin crew who need to improve on their English language skills which they would need in order to meet the requirements in being professionals of service to different people of different languages and dialects. Their lessons can be accessed online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their English language programs include Fluency Practice, Interaction and Response, Grammar and Structures, Listening Practice, Vocabulary Building, Comprehension Accuracy and Pronunciation Skills.

Learning English language need not be restricted in America or in England. Other countries can offer the same quality of language training and education as those of native language speakers.

Have you always wanted to learn more about the national symbols of England including what England’s national flower is? If so, then you have come to the right place, as I will be more than happy to assist you with this. England’s national flower is the Tudor rose, and this particular flower is considered by many to be quite stunningly beautiful.

England’s national flower certainly has a rich and interesting history. A Tudor rose is a rose that is half white and half red. Historically, it served as a symbol to mark the end of the famous War of the Roses. The Tudor rose also serves as a representation of the marriage between the House of York and the House of Lancaster which occurred after the War of the Roses had ceased. Although as I mentioned before the Tudor rose started out as half white and half red, nowadays the national flower for England is often shown as simply a solid red rose. White roses are also used at various events in England occasionally. Of note, you may find it interesting to learn that red roses are a symbol for Lancashire, and white roses are known to symbolize Yorkshire.

The War of the Roses first came about as a long, drawn out civil war between the House of York and the House of Lancaster. As a matter of fact, the War of the Roses lasted approximately 32 years! Henry VII from the House of Lancaster and King Richard III from the House of York battled it out on Bosworth Field in 1485, with Henry VII declared as the winner. This victory then made it possible for Henry VII to lay claim to England’s throne, and from that point forward, he became known as King Henry VII. King Henry VII then went on to marry Elizabeth of York which gave him even greater claim to the House of York. It was then that England’s national flower the Tudor rose was born. The reason for this is that the blending of the House of York and the House of Lancaster resulted in a Tudor Rose emblem being developed.

The red rose is also used nowadays in England as the symbol of the Rugby Football Union as well as the Rugby Football League. Of note, both teams were founded right around the same time, with the Rugby Football League being formed shortly after the Rugby Football Union. Many people in England also utilized roses in various ways to help celebrate St. George’s Day. Thank you for taking the time to read this article, and I hope that you have found the information that I have shared with you on the national flower of England to be both interesting and informative.

The United Kingdom (UK) is comprised of four countries: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. It is important not only to be aware of these geographical distinctions but also the strong sense of identity and nationalism felt by the populations of these four countries.

The terms ‘English’ and ‘British’ are not interchangeable. ‘British’ denotes someone who is from England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. ‘English’ refers to people from England. People from Scotland are referred to as ‘Scots’. People from England are not likely to take offence at being called “English”, whereas a Welsh, Scots, or Northern Irish person will.

Cultural Diversity

Formerly a very homogenous society, since World War II, Britain has become increasingly diverse as it has accommodated large immigrant populations. The mixture of ethnic groups and cultures make it difficult to define British as looking or acting in one particular manner. People may sound British and retain the cultural heritage of their forefathers while others may become more British than someone who can trace his/her lineage to the 5th century. The fact that the nation’s favourite dish is now a curry sums up the cultural mish-mash that is modern day Britain.

Doing business in the UK

The British are rather formal. Many from the older generation still prefer to work with people and companies they know or who are known to their associates. Younger businesspeople do not need long-standing personal relationships before they do business with people and do not require an intermediary to make business introductions. Nonetheless, networking and relationship building are often key to long-term business success.

Rank is respected and businesspeople prefer to deal with people at their level. If at all possible, include an elder statesman on your team as he/she will present the aura of authority that is necessary to good business relationships in many companies.

British communication styles

The British have an interesting mix of communication styles encompassing both understatement and direct communication. Many older businesspeople or those from the ‘upper class’ rely heavily upon formal use of established protocol. Most British are masters of understatement and do not use effusive language. If anything, they have a marked tendency to qualify their statements with such as ‘perhaps’ or ‘it could be’. When communicating with people they see as equal to themselves in rank or class, the British are direct, but modest. If communicating with someone they know well, their style may be more informal, although they will still be reserved.

Business meetings

Punctuality is a very British trait. It is especially important in business situations. In most cases, the people you are meeting will be on time. Always call if you will be even 5 minutes later than agreed. If you are kept waiting a few minutes, do not make an issue of it.

How meetings are conducted is often determined by the composition of people attending. If everyone is at the same level, there is generally a free flow of ideas and opinions. If there is a senior ranking person in the room, that person will do most of the speaking. In general, meetings will be rather formal and always have a clearly defined purpose, which may include an agenda. There will be a brief amount of small talk before getting down to the business at hand. If you make a presentation, avoid making exaggerated claims. Make certain your presentation and any materials provided appear professional and well thought out. Be prepared to back up your claims with facts and figures. The British rely on facts, rather than emotions, to make decisions. Maintain eye contact and a few feet of personal space. After a meeting, send a letter summarising what was decided and the next steps to be taken.

Basic Etiquette Tips:

Business Dress

* Business attire is conservative.

* Men should wear a dark coloured, conservative business suit.

* Women should wear either a business suit or a conservative dress.

Greetings

* Shake hands with everyone at a meeting upon arrival.

* Maintain eye contact during the greeting.

Titles

* Only medical doctors and the clergy use their professional or academic titles in business.

* Most people use the courtesy titles or Mr, Mrs or Miss and their surname. (Mr and Mrs are words in the United Kingdom and do not require a period after them as they are not abbreviations.)

* If someone has been knighted, they are called ‘Sir’ followed by their first and surnames or ‘Sir’ followed simply by their first name.

* Wait until invited before moving to a first-name basis. People under the age of 35 may make this move more rapidly than older British.

Business Cards

If you are planning an overseas vacation, this may be the ideal time to visit England. However, if you wish to go outside of the period in which the Olympics are being held, there are still many attractions to see and things to do.

There are many attractions which are associated with England and which are known all over the world. Among the more famous ones are Big Ben, Harrods, Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace, Stonehenge, Madam Tussaud’s Wax Museum and the Globe Theatre. There is something for everyone in an English vacation.

If you are interested in gardens and parks, England has some of the more celebrated gardens worthy of a visit. Many of these are designated heritage sites and boasts acres of beautiful gardens and a historical house or two. Among the more famous houses which could be included in your itinerary is Chatsworth House with over 300 years of gardening. Sissinghurst Castle Garden is another must see for garden lovers. It is known to be among the most romantic of English gardens and is the most visited. Its White Garden is world famous.

Stonehenge is probably the image best associated with England. It is located in the English county of Wiltshire and is probably the best known attraction located outside of London. It is a prehistoric stone circle which is believed to have been constructed around 3100BC. There continues to be a mystery as to why the stones were placed in the pattern in which they exist. It is widely believed that it was a center for pagan worship. It continues to be a much loved site in England.

For nature lovers, the Lake District and Windermere Lake is a must see. It is the largest natural lake in England and is 2 miles long, one mile wide and 220 feet deep. The countryside surrounding Lake Windermere offers serious hiking opportunities for nature lovers. The area is also associated with well known children’s author and artist Beatrix Potter.

It would be inconceivable to visit England without sampling the various attractions in London. If you have a taste for high end shopping, a visit to Harrods is in order. If you wish to visit the various art galleries and museums, then the British Museum houses possibly the best Egyptology and the largest African collection in the world. An additional plus is that the visit is free.

England as a travel destination can offer many attractions which can make your vacation a most memorable one. If you do visit England for your vacation, you will be pleased to know that it has one of the best train networks in the world and so you will be able to travel around the country using the train in addition to other modes of transportation.
